My name is Regina Howard, and I want to welcome you to my page. I began my teaching career in 2006, and am quickly approaching my 15th year in the field. My educational roots are deep in ESTL Dist 189, with me attending our very own Dunbar when I was a little girl. From there, I went to Clark Jr. High, and Lincoln Sr. High until we merged with East St. Louis Sr. High (E. Side), my senior year in 1999. Class of the “Flying Tigers” rocks!
I am our Substantially Separate, Special Education teacher, for the Intermediate grade levels. (Grades 2nd, 3rd, & 4th)
Received a degree in Bachelor’s of Science from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville, in the field of Special Education in the year of 2005. In the year of 2018, I graduated from Lindenwood University, earning my Master’s degree in Education Administration.
While working in East Saint Louis School District 189, I have had the pleasure of servicing Special needs students from grades 2-12. I’ve previously taught 6th grade at Lincoln Middle School, and grades 9th & 10th at E. Side.
I currently hold an Illinois certification with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement. Certifying me to teach Pre-Kindergarten through age 21.
I enjoy working with students, helping them strive for their educational goals, and love relishing in the moment when they are able to achieve them.
